Registered Nurse Unit Manager (RN)

• Supervise all nursing staff on the assigned unit, including but not limited to scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist in the establishment and implementation of employee policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards.
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced nurses, providing clinical guidance, career advice, and support for professional development.
• Maintain and uphold the standards of care for the unit, ensuring that all residents receive quality, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
• Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Monitor overall care on the unit and review individual resident cases to ensure optimal outcomes and resident satisfaction.
• Address any questions or complaints brought forward by residents or their families, providing timely and compassionate resolution.
• Represent the interests of the unit to upper-level management, advocating for resources, support, and recognition as needed.

• Must hold a valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
