- Supervise all nursing staff on the assigned unit, including but not limited to scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in the establishment and implementation of employee policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations and company standards.
- Serve as a mentor to less experienced nurses, providing clinical guidance, career advice, and support for professional development.
- Maintain and uphold the standards of care for the unit, ensuring that all residents receive quality, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.
- Review resident records and monitor the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Monitor overall care on the unit and review individual resident cases to ensure optimal outcomes and resident satisfaction.
- Address any questions or complaints brought forward by residents or their families, providing timely and compassionate resolution.
- Represent the interests of the unit to upper-level management, advocating for resources, support, and recognition as needed.
- Must hold a valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
