- Perform wet painting of various components and materials, ensuring quality, precision, and consistency in each job.
- Operate and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers to apply paint and primer.
- Mix paint and primer according to proper specifications and ensure the correct consistency for application.
- Inspect parts and surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards before, during, and after painting.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment, including spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Understand and follow safety protocols, including the use of full respirators and other necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Safely work from ladders when required for painting hard-to-reach areas or large parts.
- Ensure paint jobs are completed within project timelines and meet or exceed company standards for quality and finish.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to address any challenges or concerns that may arise during the painting process.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wet painting in a production or industrial environment.
- Proficient in the operation of spray guns, pressure pots, and airless sprayers.
- Knowledge of correct paint and primer mixing techniques to achieve the desired results.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment.
- Strong understanding of quality standards and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Capable of safely working at heights and using ladders to access hard-to-reach areas.
- Familiarity with safety standards and proper use of full respirators and other PPE.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a wet painting role.
- No formal training required, but relevant experience is essential.
- On-the-job training may be provided for specific equipment or processes.
- Ability to work in a standing or crouched position for extended periods.
- Frequent climbing, bending, and reaching, including the use of ladders.
- Ability to lift and move materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear a full respirator for extended periods of time while working with paints and chemicals.
- Pass background check and drug test
