Operates and maintains forklift to supply production operations with raw materials to produce finished product, transfers finished product to storage or staging area and ensures finished product is loaded onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Operates and maintains forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions, visual management and computer interface.
2. Supplies production operations with raw materials to produce finished product.
3. Prints and scans Bill of Lading for all finished goods using computer interface and RF scanner.
4. Inspects finished goods for quality defects.
5. Transfers finished goods to staging or storage areas.
6. Loads finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers delivery requirements.
7. Accurately completes all written logs and data input to include closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
8. Ensures accurate inventory counts and notifies lead/supervisor of discrepancies.
9. Effectively communicates with all internal departments.
10. Removes/Reworks any damaged product on pallets.
11. Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.
12. Follow all HACCP, GMP and Product Safety rules and guidelines.
13. Train current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed.
14. Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver’s license and forklift certification are required. The forklift certification must meets OSHA requirements and is required to perform the essential duties of this job.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job is performed near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outdoor weather. Safety glasses are required to be worn. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection to be worn. GMP procedures are observed in all areas of the plant.TRAINING1. Lockout/Tag Out
