- Secure and move product across the shop using an over head crane or forklift
- Dump all chip/Flux Hoppers daily
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Responsible for Trash/Scrap Dumpsters
- Must be able to fill in for Shipping/Receiving if that person is not available.
- Perform Daily Housekeeping Duties
- Must be proficient in hitching and slinging skills and knowledgeable of sling capacities at various leg angles.
- Must have physical stamina and strength to be on foot and on the move during most of a ten twelve hour workday.
- Must be physically able to handle tasks requiring moderate to heavy exertion on a fairly frequent basis. Must also be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, and climb while working in rather confined spaces at times.
- Must have good vision, depth perception and physical coordination
- Must be able to handle tasks involving moderate to heavy physical exertion and must be able to stoop, bend, twist, and climb up onto the truck bed and the equipment while loading and securing the load for transport or while handling shipper’s duties when not driving.
- Must be proficient in operating a forklift and handling in-house shipping duties when not on the road as a trucker.
- Must have general knowledge of Shipping and Receiving and be willing and able to fill in for supervisor during his absence from the department.
- Must be proficient in operating vehicle and loading/tying down heavy equipment loads in compliance with DOT and general safety standards.
