- Review and refine the YES-CAN! lessons, including developing additional content and activities, and aligning content with academic standards and 21st Century skills, as needed.
- Lead the year-long YES-CAN! program class during the 2024/2025 school year in two metro-area high schools with large Spanish-speaking student populations.
- Engage high school students as peer leaders in a skills-based, student-driven, project-based learning class experience.
- Develop and implement criteria for evaluating students’ performance in the program class and the quality of class products.
- Maintain logs of class content covered, student engagement, achievement, etc. using a standardized online reporting tool.
- Provide weekly updates to the project manager and/or study investigators on barriers and facilitators of student progress.
- Record facilitators and barriers to program delivery, student engagement, and student performance.
- Refine program lessons throughout the academic year based on observations of what did and did not work well.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certificate in education and qualified to teach in Colorado.
- At least two years of experience teaching in a middle or high school setting
- Ability to travel to school sites in the Denver metro area.
- Experience planning lessons for high school students.
- Experience in project-based classroom instruction.
- Experience in health education, video development, and/or
- video production
- Spanish language proficiency
- Development of classroom lessons for high school students
- Ability to work with high school students in a project-based experience.
- Ability to apply positive youth development principles to classroom environments.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
- Ability to travel to school sites in the Denver metro area.
