From installs to maintenance to solving complex electrical issues—you’ll ensure our equipment runs safely, reliably, and efficiently across all shifts. This is more than just a hands-on electrical role. As the Journeyman Electrician, you’ll:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, controls, and equipment including extruders, winders, and associated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, relays, and control panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant electrical projects.
- Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes and plant safety standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Document work performed, update electrical drawings, and maintain accurate records.
- Support continuous improvment, energy efficiency, and reliability inititiatives.
- Journeyman-level electrical & mechanical experience – 5+ years require
- State electrician license or certificiation
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs (Allen Bradley a plus) and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
