Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your ChallengeProvides engineering drawings/specifications; obtains construction bids; performs construction management as required.Possesses working knowledge of testing and data interpretation on vibration analysis, wear materials non-destructive testing, monitoring/failure analysis and equipment failure history analysis.Performs precision machine element alignments as required. Performs CAD machine duties; reads blueprints; interprets technical specifications; estimates costs and composes reports.Performs stress, strain and deflection analysis; performs bearing and power transmission design analysis.Provides work leadership for lower level staff.Manages and analyzes the testing and feasibility studies of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies, and packaging for new and existing products.Directs the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing and drafting organizations.Evaluates final results of mechanical design and test to assure accomplishment of technical objectives.Ensures that proper documentation, such as test specifications and procedures, is provided to the appropriate functional area.Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.What You BringA minimum of 7 years’ experience in electro-mechanical packaging, electronics or computer chassis design, thermal management and structural management of electronicsExperience in a supervisory roleFamiliar with electronic subsystems, circuit boards and debug of electronic systemsExtensive experience with SolidWorks, including FEA and FDA add-ons (thermal, vibration, shock, fluid flow)VPX & VME Electronics Packaging experienceExtensive experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance to ASME Y14.5.Experience in leading a cross-functional team in the development of electronic subsystems, from concept to productionAbility to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews. Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities.
