PURPOSE OF POSITION:The primary purpose of this position is to provide clinical leadership and direction of patient care for the hospital as well as the outbuildings. The position incorporates staff, patient and family teaching as well as working cooperatively within the interdisciplinary health care team to maintain standards of nursing care within the framework of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.QUALIFICATIONS / MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS * Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, BSN required
Advanced educational qualifications with consideration of the following:

Knowledge of the nursing care needs of the major populations served as well as the culturally diverse and special needs of the populations served by the hospital

WORKING CONDITIONS * Hours: Primarily off-shift, 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts 3p-7a Monday – Friday, and 24 hour weekend and holiday coverage
Subject to changes in working shifts
Sits, stands and walking intermittently during working hours
Continuous contact with nursing staff, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team
