The Engineering Document Technical Reviewer is responsible for the accurate and timely review and approval of multi-discipline engineering documents related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control, civil, structural, and architectural work. These documents-originating from the A/E Firm to the End User-include Vendor Turnover Packages (VTOPs), Trade Turnover Packages (TTOPs), Drawings, and P&IDs.Current lowest submitted Bill Rate 47.95This role ensures that all documentation meets technical, quality, and schedule requirements, supporting the successful Mechanical Completion (MC) and Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) of systems.Roles & Responsibilities
Document Review & Approval
Review all turnover package documents for technical accuracy across all engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Civil, Structural, and Architectural).
Provide comments, ensure feedback is addressed, and track closure of all issues raised during review.
Approve documents in a timely manner to meet project deadlines, especially for Mechanical Completion milestones.Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, C&Q, Maintenance, and Automation to ensure smooth document review and approval workflows.
Expedite resolution of all queries and comments raised during the review process.Document Control & Management
Manage all documents electronically-no paper copies-ensuring they are uploaded progressively to the designated system (Meridian).
Maintain compliance with project schedule targets, including Mechanical Completion (Green Tag) and C&Q (Blue Tag) documentation handover phases.
Track progress using KPIs, such as:
o Document submissions from vendors
o Percentage completion of each VTOP/TTOP
o Review and approval status
o Due dates for completion
Maintain and manage an Issue Resolution Tracker to capture and follow up on all potential issues or delays.Process & Workflow Optimization
Ensure progressive document uploads to level workloads, prevent bottlenecks, and maintain steady review and approval progress.
Provide timely updates on document review status to project management and other stakeholders.Essential Skills & Qualifications
Strong technical understanding of multi-discipline engineering drawings and documentation.
Experience with turnover package documentation, including VTOPs, TTOPs, Drawings, and P&IDs.
Proficiency in electronic document management systems (experience with Meridian preferred).
Ability to interpret and review documents for technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating across disciplines.
Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a project-driven environment.
