
Systems Engineer I

- Engineering experience, especially with DoD programs or weapon systems, in concept definition, architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities.
- Understanding of MBSE and experience applying its methods and principles to completing engineering tasks.
- Must be detail oriented.

- Must be able to effectively communicate and disseminate information verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work on a diverse team with other contractors and government personnel.
- Utilize MBSE methods, principles, and tools (such as Cameo) to perform the following:
- Determine impacts on the weapon system, requirements, and other design specifications during engineering development.
- Review, analyze, and create requirements at multiple levels (SSS, SSDD, SRS, HRS) for weapon system capability and functionality.
- Develop Candidate Change Packages (CCP) to engineer new system capabilities and document design details and impacts in models and engineering documents.
- Review, analyze, and develop system architectures, especially using MagicDraw.
- Provide human factors engineering, prototyping, and analysis support for the development and maintenance of the system user interface requirements and specifications (e.g., the Human Computer Interface (HCI) Design Specification).
- Review, analyze, provide inputs, make updates, and adjudicate comments for external interface documents.
- Create change requests (CR) and resolve CRs related to system problems and/or discrepancies between design documentation and system functionality.
- Provide engineering expertise during IPT meetings, Engineering Review Boards (ERB), Deficiency Review Boards (DRB), Change Review Boards (CRB), and Interface Working Groups (IWG) by performing package development, package review, and comment and documentation of results.
- Attend and actively engage with others at weekly team meetings and other scheduled meetings.
- Communicate meeting and engineering summaries verbally and in writing, including the ability to provide technical briefs, defend engineering and design decisions, present at meetings, and provide tasking and schedule statuses.
- Experience using Cameo and/or other modeling tools to perform system engineering tasks.
- Experience using Jira to document and track CRs as well as tracking tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Word.
