OverviewThis hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in Camp Hill, PA. Hybrid in-office expectations are three times a week, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a motivated Accounting Manager to join our team! Your responsibilities will include managing processes including prepaid and accrual processing, account reconciliation monitoring and reporting, journal entries, financial reporting, month end/year end close, account reconciliation/journal entry training, leadership activities, and strategy meetings. The Accounting Manager will supervise several staff accountants. This role is highly visible to Finance leadership!Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure all journal entries are processed timely and accurately
Manage the calculation and completion of numerous monthly journal entries related to various aspects of the business
Provide technical accounting support for journal entry and account reconciliation processes
Responsible for implementing, interpreting, and enforcing company policy for journal entry and account reconciliation compliance
Manage and develop departmental staff accountants and non-exempt staff
Monitor the account reconciliation process to ensure all reconciliations are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Provide support to division finance teams for expense forecasting and budgeting purposes
Ensure compliance with SOX and GAAP
Oversee monthly closing activities including review and analysis of account balances for accuracy following the normal close process
Provide timely and accurate responses to internal controls and KPMG requests
Communicate and manage deadlines to ensure smooth month end and year end closing process
Prepare and manage presentation of accurate, well-supported financial analysis reports
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or equivalent from a college or university
Active CPA license
5+ years of experience working in the accounting field
Knowledge of Accounting (strong technical accounting skills)
PC skills - Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, associates in the corporation, and senior management
Ability to lead and direct associates - prior experience in a leadership role preferred
Ability to teach and train associates
Must be able to accept direction
Must be able to work well with fellow associates
Must be able to multi-task
Must be able to analyze data and make observations

This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
