- Prepare and document ORC investigations; review ORC cases prepared by Asset Protection Supervisors and Asset Protection Managers
- Coordinate information sharing among law enforcement and retail associations to combat ORC theft and other financial crimes
- Review data produced through Auror case management system and analyze trends to detect and reduce ORC and other criminal activity
- Coordinate and directly oversee major ORC case investigations including outside surveillance with law enforcement and retail partners
- Maintain direct involvement with Asset Protection Supervisors and Asset Protection Managers on inventory shrink variances related to high theft products
- Research, evaluate, and implement new and emerging technologies to prevent shrink, improve efficiency, and increase physical security standards
- Ensure that all organizational policies and procedures relating to high theft items are accurately maintained and adhered to within the field operation
- Monitor online auction sites looking to identify Price Chopper/M32/Tops merchandise or equipment for sale. Track suspected sellers of such merchandise/equipment. Engage law enforcement when necessary.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of collected intelligence or for trends that require communication to field asset protection and store management
- Act as the point person for outside requests for asset protection information (law enforcement, risk management, etc.)
- Satisfactory performance reviews
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written
- General knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel computer programs
- General understanding of the center store PI or Fresh inventory process
- Must have a valid driver's license and regular travel required
- Must be 21 years of age
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work on sensitive assignments and handle confidential information appropriately
- Ability to travel 50% of the time (Office location - Schenectady, NY or Buffalo, NY)
- College degree/study Preferred
- LPC, CFI Certification Preferred
- High School/GED degree mandatory
- Wicklander-Zulawski Certification Preferred
- 5 years Asset Protection investigations or supervisory experience preferred
