
Software Development Engineer

- Design, develop, and implement software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes.
- Adapt and evolve responsibilities as required to meet project demands and align with organizational objectives.
- Proficient in Progress OpenEdge technologies, such as AppBuilder, Data Dictionary, SmartObjects, and ABL (Advanced Business Language).
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- 1+ years of experience in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
- 1+ years of experience in SQL databases.
- 1+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services.
- 1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
- 3+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
- 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- 3+ years of experience with microservices architecture.
- 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- 3+ years of experience with performance tuning and optimization.
- Open Edge REST Services API experience a Plus
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
