Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a mission-critical program focused on radar systems and simulators deployed across Navy ships and remote bases. This is a direct placement opportunity supporting a growing small business. The Network Engineer will support development of a Local Area Network being deployed on various ships. This position is on-site in Morristown, NJ.Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include:
Support the development and engineering of a closed-loop, high bandwidth Local Area Network in a lab environment.
Configure Linux servers, tune, maintain, and troubleshoot the network and engineer various solutions as it goes through the developmental lifecycle.
Assist with documentation, monthly security patches, test runs, and support for various developmental phases for Integration and Test.
Support a team as an individual contributor.
Required Qualifications for the Network Engineer include:
5+ years of experience with Network Engineering
Experience supporting lab environment, combat or radar systems, and the DOD space
Experience with Linux configuration and troubleshooting
Bachelor's Degree
Active Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Network Engineer include:
Salary Range: $120,000-160,000 **depending on experience**
