- Monitor and report progress against the company’s defined sustainability goals and issues
- Drive the development of content for CIR in collaboration with relevant cross functional groups
- Propose and seek consensus for the company’s policy and position on key issues
- Drive the implementation of a sustainability strategy that directly influences and is influenced by the company’s material impacts and long term business plans
- Assess risk of key existing and future expected sustainability issues for the business
- Act as internal knowledge resource on issue of CIR as it pertains to general information dissemination
- Monitor key trends, competitive activity, and other issues of interest to the company
- Define the metrics which will accurately assess the company’s sustainability impact and progress
- Other incidental duties
- Bachelor's Degree in related field and minimum of 12 years experience in sustainability and philanthropic initiatives OR Master’s Degree in related field and minimum of 10 years experience in sustainability and philanthropic initiatives
- Professional and experienced practitioner in the sustainability/CIR space
- Strategic planner and influencer
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior executives
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Sophisticated understanding of the global corporate sustainability landscape and best practice
- Able to work successfully with people of diverse functional and cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate trends and issues in business and society
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Applicable training in sustainability reporting standards
- Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
