May also perform specialized imaging services.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
- Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special/advanced procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Perform the duties of a staff technologist, as well as those of one additional modality.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced certification for Mammography or CT preferred; Advanced certification for MRI within 24 months of hire preferred. ARRT breast ultrasound certification preferred.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
- One (1) year of related experience preferred.
