
Transportation ITS & Traffic Intern - Summer 2026

- Provide administrative and operations support.
- Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of reports.
- Utilize computer software such as CAD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to produce schematics, drawings and design plans.
- Assist with preparation of design plans
- Assist with preparation of traffic signal models
- Coordinate within organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
- Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software.
- Participate in group meetings, both project and organization related
- Participate in field work when applicable
- EXPERIENCE:
- College level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required. No experience is generally required with the applicable college courses or equivalent training, or if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- EDUCATION:
- Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Interest in transportation and traffic engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred)
