We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Mechanic to install, fabricate, and maintain ductwork and other sheet metal systems in commercial buildings. The ideal candidate has experience working on active construction sites, can read blueprints, and understands commercial HVAC systems and safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and assemble commercial HVAC duct systems (rectangular, spiral, flex)
  • Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and shape metal materials with precision
  • Operate tools and equipment such as shears, brakes, benders, and drills
  • Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on job sites
  • Ensure installations meet all local building codes and project requirements
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times
  • Perform quality checks on completed systems and make necessary adjustments
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial sheet metal experience
  • Proficient with reading blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Familiar with SMACNA standards and commercial installation practices
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in varying site conditions
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
