- Utilize Siemens/Mentor PADS Designer and Layout software. Utilized AutoCAD mechanical software.
- Create and maintain schematic symbols for Electrical CAD (ECAD) libraries, referencing component vendor data sheets.
- Create and maintain copper pad footprints, solder mask, and solder paste patterns for ECAD library referencing component vendor data sheets, IPC standards, and internal L3Harris design guidelines.
- Create and maintain ECAD footprints for use by mechanical engineering.
- Ensure all requirements for fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly are met.
- Review drawings and data sheets for dimensional requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of CAD software tools.
- Knowledge of SMT and through-hole electronic components and packages used on PCB assemblies.
- Understands mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of a PLM tool, e.g., Agile, Teamcenter, etc.
