- In conjunction with Commercial and Finance teams, help develop and maintain a global pricing policy and strategy.
- Support development of, and provide ongoing maintenance on, costing and pricing models for all business units that help the company secure desired business at appropriate margins.
- Operate the global pricing model and coordinate with Commercial team to propose pricing on all new business requests.
- Perform product portfolio analysis on a regular cadence to drive actionable insights regarding the profitability of all customers and items.
- Assess raw material exposures to inflation and/or tariffs and quantify impact on finished goods profitability.
- Perform market analyses using internal data and customer/industry point-of-sale (POS) data to analyze growth trends by dosage form, customer, product, market segment, etc.
- Identify trends and provide meaningful insight to Commercial team that can be used to drive pricing, promotional opportunities, and better forecast accuracy.
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in the commercial reporting tools deployed by the company. Administrate the sales databases to maintain accuracy, consistency, and alignment with financial systems.
- Act as a key player in commercial budget/forecast activities including accurate loading of customer/SKU data into financial systems.
- Research and understand the competitive landscape of the consumer healthcare goods industry, including branded vs. private label dynamics.
- Become highly literate in company cost drivers and partner with Operations in the maintenance of accurate standard costs and cost savings opportunities.
- Update and maintain relevant information on key customers, products, and markets.
- Travel as needed to visit Company sites, support projects, and collaborate with team members (up to 25%).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, marketing, data science, or related field.
- 10 years’ relevant professional experience including strategic pricing analysis, market & POS data analysis, and commercial analysis in the consumer goods sector.
- Thorough understanding of profitability ratios and income statement economics.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles.
- Advanced experience in data manipulation and statistical/financial analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced experience with BI (Business Intelligence) tools.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Thorough knowledge of data analysis technologies, techniques, and languages.
- Thorough knowledge of consumer healthcare industry.
- General knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase reporting.
- Experience communicating with executive-level team members and/or preparing executive-level presentation materials.
