
Program Manager III, Water and Cooling, Policy Advocacy, Market Development

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience as a civil engineer or environmental engineer, working on the tech aspects of hydrology.
- Experience in policy and advocacy within the water or energy sector.
- Experience in recycled water and heat reuse market development, including policy, regulation, and market design.
- Experience creating and managing partnerships in the water space with NGOs, think tanks, and other industry leaders.
- Experience in hyperscale data center infrastructure strategy, design, and operations.
- Experience working with the various institutions of government, including experience with regulatory dockets and intervention.
- Experience interpreting and applying environmental regulations and environmental permit requirements to industrial facilities.
- Understanding of global water market structures, regulatory constructs, and policies.
- Develop and execute global market development strategies to further market solutions to Google’s responsible water and cooling needs, including design and reform of regulations, tariffs, and water supply and infrastructure and heat reuse systems.
- Develop Business-to-Business (B:B) partnerships to create and scale new advanced water and cooling products for Google's continued investment in resilient and sustainable data center cooling supply chains.
- Develop new partnerships with NGOs and other industry thought leaders. Lead advocacy work with trade associations, industry partners, non-profit groups, research institutions and other allies to advance Google’s responsible water and cooling interests and priorities.
- Lead and support water and cooling engagements with policymakers and regulators at the local and national level.
- Lead direct intervention into country or EU solicitations to support Google's responsible and resilient data center water and cooling interests.
