This leadership position requires hands-on engagement with day-to-day operations while fostering a positive and productive work environment.Key Responsibilities for General Manager – Building Materials Industry
  • Sales & Operations: Oversee branch sales, operations, production, delivery, purchasing, and inventory control to meet or exceed goals.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff, including conducting performance reviews, addressing issues, and making personnel decisions.
  • Budget Management: Take full accountability for budgeting, financial reporting, and expense control.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing waste and cost.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement cost-effective measures for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Customer Engagement: Solicit and respond to customer feedback, addressing deficiencies to ensure continuous improvement and satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company programs, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Strategic Planning: Forecast product demand, labor efficiency, and operational needs to align with branch objectives.
  • Other Duties: Attend relevant training sessions and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications for General Manager – Building Materials IndustryThe ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the building materials industry, with proven supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
