Role SummaryWe are looking for a visionary Senior Apparel and Graphic Designer to help shape the expression of our brand beyond our vehicles. In this fully on-site role, you will be responsible for creating compelling and innovative apparel and merchandise that embodies the spirit of Rivian, telling a story of adventure, sustainability, and quality through every product.

- Lead the end-to-end design and development of Rivian's apparel and merchandise collections, from initial concept to final production.
- Design original, high-quality graphics, prints, and branding elements that reinforce the Rivian brand identity and aesthetic.
- Act as a brand steward, ensuring all designs align with Rivian's core values of adventure, sustainability, and innovation.
- Conduct comprehensive trend research and market analysis to inform and influence design direction and material sourcing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Brand Experience, Merchandise, Vehicle Design, and CMF, to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Develop detailed technical specifications and tech packs for manufacturers to ensure seamless and accurate production.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to seasonal product calendars and deadlines.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 5+ (preferred) years of professional experience in apparel and/or graphic design.
- Proven expertise in the full product lifecycle, from initial concept to final production.
- Proficiencent in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Proficiency in 3D fashion design software (e.g., CLO) is a plus.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of garment construction, materials, and production processes (e.g., screen printing, embroidery, pattern making, and cut and sew).
- Demonstrated understanding of our brand positioning and ethos, with exposure to premium outdoor brands and knowledge of automotive graphic design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and personal workflows independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and contribute to shared goals.
- Capable of operating and thriving in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
