The Electrical Engineer Team Lead is responsible for working on the electrical design of components in the industrial manufacturing space. In this role, you would have the opportunity to lead a team of 3 and work in a hybrid capacity out of the Amesbury, MA area.In this role, the Electrical Engineer will lead the product development team, driving the creation of new and enhanced products to align with scheduled milestones. Your focus will be on supporting New Product Development by ensuring designs meet standards, customer specifications, and cost objectives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Supervising daily workload of design engineers, providing mentorship, support, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Addressing manufacturing-related product issues promptly.
  • Developing procedures, processes, and offering engineering support across all locations as needed.
  • Assisting in test lab operations, analyzing test data, and evaluating product performance.

  • Possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, coupled with 5-10 years of pertinent experience, including previous leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with circuit protection safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in electrical circuit protection design, alongside experience in low voltage and medium voltage system design, is beneficial.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in conducting load calculations, short-circuit, and coordination studies. Preferably skilled in utilizing SKM software or similar tools.
  • Knowledgeable about basic machine shop practices and adept at operating in high voltage or high current environments. Proficiency with PC operating platforms and familiarity with electrical and thermal simulation software is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel if necessary
