The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in optimizing medication management programs, development and implementation of clinical/operations protocols, and be passionate to serve as a resource for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, develop and implement new treatment protocols, and contribute to the advancement of oncology pharmacy practice.The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for the provision of drug information to other health care professionals, patients, their families and the public. Functions as a staff pharmacist and acts as a clinical pharmacy leader in establishing, maintaining and expanding clinical pharmacy programs. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist mentors and educates pharmacists and technicians and works collaboratively with Physicians, Nurses and other allied staff to advance clinical pharmacy practices, protocols and support functions. Under the direct supervision of the Manager/Director of Pharmacy is responsible for maintaining and advancing clinical pharmacy services. Responsible for staff functions when working an operational shift. Directly responsible to the Manager/Director of Pharmacy.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Two to three years experience as a clinical pharmacist.
  • B.S. Pharmacy; or M.S. Pharmacy, or Pharm. D.
  • REGISTERED PHARMACIST (RG PHARMST).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of hospital staff, physicians, and the general public.
