- Administratively responsible for the oversight and management of residency and fellowship programs in order to achieve compliance with the established ACGME, ADA, CPME, CODA and RRC accreditation standards and assure full accreditation of all programs and the institution.
- Supervises the design, development and implementation of the Graduate Medical Education functions for AGH, FH, SVH and WPH including GME policy and procedure development, implementation and interpretation of RRC and ACGME requirements, review and approval of annual RRC program accreditation requirements, review of new program applications, completion of annual Institutional Review Document (IRD), development of and accountability for GME operating budget.
- Provides organizational leadership and strategic development of Graduate Medical Education. Oversees and participates in departmental Human Resource management functions such as interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, performance feedback, performance evaluation, discipline, and policy and procedure development for department. Supervises staff, evaluates work, and recommends and implements approved disciplinary action.
- Acts as primary liaison between Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and residency coordinators, house staff, and program directors to facilitate efficient operations, compliance with ACGME requirements and problem-solving.
- Master's Degree or equivalent combination of Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years related experience
- Five years management experience with demonstrated accomplishments in planning, organizing, leadership, and strategic program development.
- Five years’ experience with Graduate Medical Education operations; Experience with education program design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Knowledge of budgeting and financial procedures.
- Knowledge of graduate medical education, ECFMG, Department of State, ACGME, CODA, ADA, CPME and Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine policies and processes.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
