DESCRIPTIONChildren's Foster Care Level 2 Behavior Specialists assess, develop, and maintain behavior plans for youth in care, while providing training to foster parents and respite workers on behavior strategies and trauma informed care. All behavior plans must effectively promote the health, safety, and personal growth of youth. Behavior services must be in compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and standards set by the Agency and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Home visits one to two times per month are required, or more if needed during times of instability or crisis. Behavior analysts attend psychiatric appointments to provide behavioral data and updates. All behavior services are individualized to meet the particular physical, social, and emotional needs of youth served. Plans must include team collaboration and consistent communication. Weekly supervision and training provided by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Administrator. CFC behavior specialist position is a great opportunity for future BCBAs.
