Job Description:Intermountain Electronics, Inc., a world-class company that designs, engineers and manufactures sophisticated, custom electrical distribution and control equipment is seeking Transformer Assembly Technicians - at our Price, UT facility.The Transformer Assembly Technician will assemble, defect free, core and coil assemblies meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements.These are entry level positions with opportunities for job growth! Stop worrying and start living your best life, in Price, UT. with Intermountain Electronics.Experience and Skills:Job Duties:ProductionReviews winding design sheets to determine material requirements and core stacking specifications.Assembles support structure, clamping angles, terminals, etc.Stacks transformer cores and tops to design specificationsWeld transformer feet and taps into the correct position.Cut and braze primary leads to specified busbar.Cut, clean & Tig weld secondary leads.Remove forms, dip/VPI and bake transformer windings.Moves prepared materials to staging areas.Disassembles old transformers or damaged coils and makes repairs.Tools & EquipmentUse overhead crane, forklift, hoists, to assist in transformer assembly and moving materials/projects.Operate, grinders, cutting torch, drills, misc. hand tools.Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.Housekeeping/SafetyTransformer stacking and staging area is clean and organized, tools properly cared for and stored at the end of each workday.Uses tools, PPE, and equipment in a safe manner.Supports and follows IE's safety program and procedures. Must always maintain a safe and clean work area.Other Essential DutiesMaintains regular and consistent job attendance, comes to work on time.Follows and complies with IE's Core ValuesRequirements:High School DiplomaAbility to read and understand basic assembly instructions and simple assembly diagrams.Experience with various hand tools, soldering iron, wire strippers, crimpers, drill, razor knife, screwdrivers, pliers, nut-drivers, multimeters, powered screwdrivers, and ratchet drivers is a plusSelf-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.Confident with the ability to work closely with other technicians and management while keeping production flowing and meeting due datesMust be detailed oriented and committed to consistently producing quality workGood hand-eye coordination and aptitude for mechanical assemblyMust be able to get along with co-workers, supervisors, management, etc.Job Benefits:Benefits:This position offers:
