- Project Timeline and Order Process: Develop a clear understanding of the project timeline and order process, including custom orders when necessary.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Product and Design Manager, Director of Sales, and internal departments to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Communication: Provide complete and timely communication from proposal to execution to minimize cost, improve coordination, and create extraordinary customer experiences.
- Facilitating Customer Requests: Facilitate customer requests for pricing, specifications, information, and other service requirements. This includes providing quotes, collaborating with Marketing on presentations, Sales Directors on negotiating pricing and terms, conducting cost/benefit analysis, and reviewing and finalizing finishes and options.
- Sales Quotas and Profit Objectives: Exceed assigned sales quotas and achieve gross profit objectives.
- Leveraging Relationships: Collaborate with the entire Business Development team to leverage relationships with influencers (Gaming, Hospitality, Commercial Real Estate, A&D firms, Construction and Facilities Management) and identify opportunities and share competitive knowledge.
- Attending networking and industry-related events regionally, including national trade shows as requested by the Sales or Marketing Director.
- Participating in, planning, or hosting events in our Gasser Chair inspiration centers and showrooms, as well as off-site locations.
- Securing appointments or group meetings to promote Gasser Chair capabilities.
- Utilizing company software and technology, including ERP and CRM, to continually update both quotes and client-facing activity.
- Providing timely and accurate sales forecasts weekly and monthly.
- Bachelor's degree or applicable job experience.
- Business Development and consultative sales skills with a strong relationship-based mentality.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Articulate and well accustomed to a client-facing role.
- Willingness to travel as required (travel 50%).
- Efficient planning and multitasking skills.
- Previous account or business development experience.
- Preferred two to three years of business-to-business experience in furniture or commercial design.
- Prior experience selling to the Gaming, Tribal Gaming, or Hospitality industries is highly preferred. Candidates must have a strong background in B2B and/or commercial sales, ideally with a focus on hospitality or commercial interiors. Relevant product categories may include furniture, flooring, wall coverings, lighting, fabrics, solid surfaces, kitchen and bath fixtures, outdoor furniture, and other interior design solutions.
