Responsibilities are far ranging, from early concept CAD design to the beginning phases of industrialization, platform complexity and strategy, component design and systems engineering. Delivery of best-in-class cost, quality, and complexity are an expectation in this position. This position requires high cross-functional collaboration with activities from vehicle dynamics to manufacturing to purchasing. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Knowledge of component design, systems design, and CAE modeling is beneficial. Knowledge of competitive vehicles, vehicle attributes (driving dynamics, NVH) and manufacturing processes is beneficial. Knowledge of the commodity sourcing and cost delivery processes is a priority. Strong problem solving and strategy thinking capabilities. Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work collaboratively across multiple organizations. Ability to work in a rapidly changing work environment and global industry. Demonstrated ability to delivery best-in-class cost, quality, and complexity.
