Job Description:OverviewThis is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): North Carolina, Arizona.We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our growing Core banking delivery team, which provides technology solutions and integration services in following areas: Core banking, Deposits and Investments systems/projects.Responsible for performing independent quality checks and developing methods of measuring the quality and performance of the functional testing processes. Coordinates testing and evaluation activities that identify issues, trends and gaps in existing projects/systems/processed. Provides and independent assessment of the programs, policies and procedures tested and provides feedback to management. Works with the testing lead to create the test plan and strategy. Updates testing metrics on a daily basis and provides results to the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead and Scrum teams. May be responsible for leading defect or other testing meetings as required.
Responsibilities
  • Independent Testing & Validation - Writes test cases based on requirements and user stories provided and performs manual testing as needed. Creates testing plans and test cases and loads them into the appropriate tools. Participates in defect meetings and overall project plan routines to present analysis on current defects as well as re-tested defects.
  • Data Analysis - Sources, compiles and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiency, and effectively communicates analysis output.
  • Risk Management - Contributes to the mitigation of risk in the Information Technology organization by thoroughly testing and performing quality checks of existing programs, policies and procedures.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organizationORHigh School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in a Financial Services organizationLicense or Certification Type: American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification(s) - PreferredPreferred Qualifications:
  • Strong exposure to SDLC process including Waterfall and Agile
  • Experience on Agile projects and has complete knowledge of day-to-day Agile ceremonies.
  • Exposure to Testing Methodologies and project life cycle
  • Experience with QA strategies such as mocking, pairwise testing, UI testing
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning, design, test strategy and test execution of complex systems
  • Experience in Jira, X-ray, or any defect tracking tool
  • Experience working with Relational Databases: Oracle/SQL Server or any RDBMS.
  • Basic understanding of API testing and tools like Postman, Soap UI or similar.
  • Exposure in DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins or similar)
  • Basic knowledge on Testing Automation tools - Selenium, WebDriver.
  • Basic knowledge of a programming or scripting language (Python, Ruby, or JavaScript).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies.
