Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, and revenue recognition.As a Senior Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in the global monthly revenue close process, including preparation of (i) monthly journal entries, (ii) account reconciliations, and (iii) variance analyses related to the monthly results. This position will also collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis, Billings, Cash collections and Revenue Service teams to assist in the monthly close process and to understand fluctuations from budget and forecast.The Senior Accountant should have a general knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and experience (i) working within a monthly close process, (ii) preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, (iii) identifying and improving monthly processes. The Senior Accountant should be eager to learn and demonstrate strong communication, time management and organizational skills. This person should be highly adaptable to change due to Costar's rapid growth via organic growth and acquisitions. The Senior Accountant will have a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
