- Collaborate with HR leadership and Country HR Leads to develop and execute global HR strategies that align with overall business objectives. Ensure harmonization of HR practices across regions while respecting local requirements.
- In partnership with Country/Regional HR Leads, manage the periodic review of global HR policies, ensuring compliance with international labor laws and alignment with regional regulations.
- Lead and manage US compliance, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures. Ensure HR policies and procedures are designed thoughtfully, communicated appropriately, interpreted, and consistently applied across the organization.
- Partner with the US leadership team to implement proactive employee relations strategies, leading initiatives across sites to drive employee satisfaction, retention, and a positive work environment.
- Manage US Leave Administration in partnership with our third-party leave administrator.
- Review and analyze people metrics including data on retention and employee experience to recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's overall business goals and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Manage all HR operational related processes, transactions, and activities, to ensure a positive employee experience at all phases of the employee life cycle. Ensure seamless execution of HR transactions, accurate record-keeping, and timely processing.
- Serve as the escalation point for employee relations matters, conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Partner with legal counsel as needed
- Evaluate current state of HR operations, document process improvements and drive alignment on new approaches. Partner with other HR and cross-functional leaders to optimize processes. Build out detailed and comprehensive workflows for key HR processes, communications, materials, and resources to drive a best-in-class employee experience.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for employee-related information.
- Stay up to date with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Identify outsourcing opportunities and vendors as appropriate to serve operational needs and manages the performance of vendors.
- Manage, coordinate, and execute key employee lifecycle points including onboarding, time off and leaves of absence, employee relations, ongoing engagement and offboarding for US employees.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage collaboration.
- Lead employee services support function providing support for general employee inquiries, directing employees to relevant information, resources, and internal points of contact.
- Drive continuous improvement in key HR areas, including Compliance, Employee Relations, Onboarding and Offboarding.
- Oversee internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, IT Security, etc.) globally; Responsible for the documentation and oversight of all internal controls governing HR systems and processes.
- Monitor and ensure the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Proactively reviews and updates policies, guidelines, and practices to maintain compliance and alignment with best practices.
- Manage employee relations activities and issue, including handling employee complaints and concerns, conducting investigations, and providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Oversees the completion and accuracy of compliance requirements such as EEO-1, Pay Equity, Affirmative Action Plans, and others as needed.
- Acts as main point of contact for any internal and external audits regarding HR processes to ensure compliance to existing audit standards, responds to and complies with any internal and external investigations, litigations, audits, assessments and participates in and adheres to corrective actions including process remediation when necessary.
- Draft, revise, and communicate HR policies and procedures. Train HR staff and leaders on policy updates and ensure consistent application throughout US operations.
- 10+ years of HR experience including HR Operations. Experience leading teams highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of HR processes, systems, and best practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
