
Project Engineer

- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Design and specify mechanical systems, utilities, and process equipment for food production.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, GMP) and engineering standards.
- Oversee on-site construction activities including contractor coordination, site safety, and quality control.
- Review and approve construction drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Manage commissioning and startup of new systems and equipment.
- Prepare technical documentation including P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and installation manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs, and compliance.
- Report regularly to stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Evaluate and select vendors and contractors for engineering and construction services.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Ensure contractor performance aligns with contractual obligations and site standards.

- 5-7 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience in construction management or capital project execution.
- Strong knowledge of sanitary design, utility systems (HVAC, steam, compressed air), and process equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering documentation tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
