  • Sets up machine/jobs to specifications outlined in Dispatch for packing order
  • Responsible for packing all slit rolls as necessary
  • Assists Operator in:
  • setting up machine to standard set-up time and procedure
  • achieving standard production target and waste target as well as weighing/recording waste
  • troubleshooting machine when it is down or not performing to standard
  • Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance if qualified
  • Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System
  • Ensures all environmental standards are requirements are met
  • Ensure quality of finished product and divert nonconformance product to appropriate area (i.e. Doc, Hold, Junk)
  • Ensure completed product is packaged according to customer requirements
  • Work as a team with Operator to ensure efficiency and smooth operation of machine
  • Complete all in process paperwork (i.e. Hardness/Static charts, doc tickets).
Qualifications:When your expertise drives us:
  • This job is in a manufacturing environment working on and around heavy machinery with high-speed rotating parts; continuous strobe lights may be present
  • Must have the ability to operate industrial power vehicles
  • This position may have exposure to hazards such as dust, high noise levels, solvent fumes and medium heat
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • Vision requirements include the ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less and free of colorblindness
  • Frequent sitting, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to individually lift up to 50 pounds
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas verbally and in writing
  • Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, labeler
  • Overtime will be required as assigned
