Facility produces Kosher Grape Juice.What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate production operations to ensure products meet quality and functionality standards.
- Develop a system for tracking quality issues and implement corrective measures.
- Establish standards for finished product disposition and enforce evaluation tests.
- Maintain processing instructions for product quality and safety, including allergen management.
- Inspect incoming ingredients, trailers, bulk shipments, and pallets for quality and safety.
- Set quality standards and develop enforcement programs.
- Monitor product recall, crisis management, document control, and food security.
- Verify ingredient purchases from approved suppliers.
- Maintain files for Letters of Guarantee, Specifications, and Certificates of Analysis.
- Supervise Quality staff and support staff Sanitation.
- Oversee employee training on HACCP, allergen control, GMP, and food security.
- Ensure FDA, GMP, USDA, and SQF compliance and lead yearly reviews.
- Supervise Kosher and Organic compliance.
- Review and approve labeling for finished product labels, packaging, and nutritional information.
- Maintain and verify the HACCP program and product/environmental microbiological testing.
- Manage ingredient specification and testing programs.
- Implement and maintain Food Safety and Plant Safety Programs.
- Lead HACCP/Food Safety, Food Defense, and internal auditing teams.
- Collaborate with production to maintain ingredient specifications and reduce waste.
- Monitor effectiveness of contracted pest control companies.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Four (4) or more years of food industry experience (supervisory experience preferred).
- HACCP Certification (required, can be obtained on the job).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety principles.
- Ability to supervise staff and enforce safety and GMP rules.
- Customer service skills for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
