- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of fiber optic installation projects to ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Traveling Underground Fiber Optic Placing Foreman and Fiber Optic Placing Laborers, promoting a positive and productive team environment.
- Facilitate communication between the foreman, laborers, and management to ensure project goals are met and any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures on-site, conducting regular safety meetings to ensure all team members maintain awareness of best practices and hazards.
- Assist in training new team members on fiber optic installation techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the quality of installations, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Manage the allocation of materials and equipment necessary for fiber optic installations, coordinating with suppliers and logistics to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, equipment usage, and material inventory, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Identify potential challenges in the installation process, working proactively with the team to develop and implement effective solutions.

- Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.

- You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fiber optic installation or related fields, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic installation processes, including experience with Condux Gulfstream 400 and various underground digging machinery.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with team members and clients effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of railroad rules and regulations are a plus.
