Will oversee and conduct financial review for post-award budgets/general accounts and monitor expenditures for compliance with sponsor requirements; maintain account information; prepare monthly reports for principal investigators (PIs); update and maintain account and LNS database information; prepare journal vouchers and internal billing; monitor and reconcile MIT and LNS outstanding commitments; process research account closeouts; serve as resource for other financial assistants and administrative assistants; and assist with the development of guidelines and procedures and make recommendation for improvements. May monitor and coordinate the work of students and temporary staff.The full job description is available at .Job RequirementsREQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; five years’ accounting/finance or business operations experience; proficiency with Microsoft Excel; excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions and work both independently and as part of a team; and willingness to assume new responsibilities and learn new software as needed. PREFERRED: associate’s/bachelor’s degree; database management experience; MIT experience; experience with Adobe Acrobat; knowledge of MIT Kuali Coeus, SAP, and its financial and administrative systems; knowledge of Uniform Guidance, NIH and other federal sponsor policies, and MIT policies related to finance and research administration.
