The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) supports the well-being of families in Alabama's Black Belt region. Our Head Start program provides vital services to children and families in need.Position Summary:
The Health & Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing health and nutrition services for children and families. This role ensures that services meet Head Start Performance Standards and are delivered in coordination with other program areas.Key Responsibilities:Develop and oversee the Head Start health and nutrition program.Train staff and engage parents on health and nutrition topics.Track, monitor, and evaluate service delivery and outcomes.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and local regulations.Supervise the Health Services and Food Services teams.Partner with community organizations and healthcare providers.Participate in ongoing professional development and program events.Travel throughout the BBCF service area as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field (Master's preferred).2+ years of relevant experience.RN, PHN, Registered Dietitian, or similar certification preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.Experience supervising staff and working in diverse communities.Core Values:
