- Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities
- Coordinate with the Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report
- Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Apply knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Provide product information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Ensure orders, samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time.
- Responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items.
- Report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses.
- Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes.
- Ensure that the Essentra Components service proposition is being executed on a daily basis.
- Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends
- Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years of related work experience in a sales or customer service-oriented role.
- A college degree in business, marketing or related field is a plus but not required.
- Experience working for an industrial products company is preferred but not required.
- Must be motivated, persuasive and dedicated.
- Willingness to be managed by KPI's and work toward specific daily/weekly/monthly goals.
- Must be able to identify and assess customers' needs to exceed their expectations.
- Willingness to work in the office 3 days a week.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Willingness to respond within 2 hours to customer inquiries
