- Identify and evaluate development opportunities through market research, broker networks, and off-market relationships
- Lead site selection, negotiation, and acquisition processes, including LOIs, purchase agreements, due diligence, and closings
- Conduct financial analysis, underwriting, and risk assessments
- Oversee entitlement strategies and municipal approvals in partnership with consultants and legal advisors
- Coordinate site planning, environmental studies, and engineering reviews
- Manage all phases of the development process from pre-development through construction and project close-out
- Work with internal and external teams on design, permitting, and budgeting
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
- Support marketing and leasing strategies for commercial tenants or residential occupancy
- Interface with brokers, respond to RFPs, and assist in lease negotiation processes
- Collaborate with finance team to structure capital stacks, prepare investment packages, and support lender/investor relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners including brokers, municipalities, contractors, investors, and tenants
- Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings to drive business development and deal flow
- Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate development
- Proven track record in delivering commercial real estate projects from acquisition through completion
- Strong financial modeling and project budgeting skills
- Effective communicator with ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or real estate software is a plus
- Regional travel may be required based on project needs
