About the Role
We are seeking an Environmental Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater projects to join our client's growing team. This role involves hands-on engineering design, technical analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and compliant solutions for municipal and industrial water/wastewater systems.The ideal candidate will have experience in civil and mechanical process design, an eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with project managers, regulatory agencies, and clients from concept through construction.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering calculations and designs using technical expertise and judgment to translate concepts into construction drawings and specifications.
Provide sketches and/or detailed layout information to design staff for plan and drawing development.Deliver project-specific technical input for incorporation into project specifications and documentation.Prepare civil and mechanical process drawings for agency submittalsDraft written communications for clients and regulatory agencies as neededResearch and interpret relevant codes, manuals, and design standardsVerify design computations and details to ensure compliance with codes and standardsUtilize AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software for project deliverablesConduct site visits to assess existing conditions and inform design workCoordinate with engineers, technicians, and administrative staff during all project phases to ensure conformance with technical standards.Seek guidance on complex or unfamiliar technical challenges from senior team membersPrepare draft technical specifications, reports, and correspondenceParticipate in client meetings and collaborate with project stakeholdersStay current with trends and innovations in wastewater engineering through professional developmentFoster cooperative relationships with team members, clients, and partner organizations.Qualiications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Must have a Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering design.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
