These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors. Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide. AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times. Job Description:An EPA Certified Refrigerant Technician at our Lennox AES location in Wheeling, WV is responsible for the safe and efficient recovery and reclamation of refrigerants from HVAC systems. They play a crucial role in environmental sustainability by ensuring the proper handling, recycling, and disposal of HVAC components, in compliance with industry regulations.The Compensation for this position is $21.00 per hour. (Opportunity for Over Time!)WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery.
  • Generate reports on the types and quantities of refrigerants reclaimed.
  • Decommission and dismantle HVAC systems, ensuring the safe removal of refrigerants.
  • Perform tests on recovered refrigerants to meet industry standards.
  • Handle and sort materials through the reclaim process.
  • Identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities.
  • Cross train and help in other areas depending on workload.

  • Type III EPA Freon Recovery Certification, or similar.
  • Previous reclaim experience.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and their environmental impact.

  • Able to operate pump down equipment for refrigerant recovery.
  • Willing and able to train others in the reclaim process.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil.
  • Able to use hand and power tools, including metal cutting saws.
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Able to handle and sort different materials.
