Together, we create our culture by living our values in our day-to-day interactions with our patients and teammates.Job SummaryCoordinates the effective functioning of the credentialing process for assigned staff to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements, accreditation standards, Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and applicable policies and procedures.Essential Functions
  • Function as content expert and resource to other team members regarding credentialing processes and policies.
  • Provide back up support to facilities when coordinator is not available.
  • Track team members' verifications of monthly expirables (Lic, DEA etc.)
  • Assist team with tracking reappointment scheduling & activities (reminder letters, board report etc.)
  • Orienting, training and follow-up monitoring of new team members
  • Provide progress reports to Director regarding new team members performance
  • Provide information to Director when requested regarding team member performance.
  • Assist with interview process for prospective team members
  • Provide education to staff as needed to successfully implement new processes and documentation.
  • Update training manual as appropriate for new hires and as a reference for existing employees.
  • Assists team members and hospital staff during TJC & Mock Survey audits. Includes advance review of credential files to assure complete documentation whenever possible and participation in actual survey via telephone.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
  • Promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.
  • Address and complete other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of State and Federal regulations and Joint Commission accreditation standards.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Work, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must have good and regular attendance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
  • High School graduate or GED
Licenses/Certifications
  • CPCS certification preferred
Experience
  • Experience with credentialing initial and reappointment applications for an acute care hospital preferred.
  • Credentialing experience in other environments may be considered.
  • Experience with or direct involvement in a combined accreditation and licensing survey for an acute care hospital preferred.
