The primary responsibility of this position is to provide to provide engineering design and technical services to the manufacturing entities of Heraeus.Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Under direction of Production Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer, manage and execute engineering capital projects ranging from several thousand to $2 million dollars.
- Apply Mechanical Engineering and Design sills and Technical Expertise to continually improve and upgrade the manufacturing equipment.
- Generate mechanical designs for fabrication using DFA and GD&T principals with AutoCAD Inventor, CREO, or other company standard drawing software.
- Maintain documentation for Heraeus in house designed machines.
- Using process expertise, assess capability of process equipment relative to current and future production. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to address gaps as identified.
- Draft plant layouts, machine details, process flows and PID's.
- Work cross functionally with R&D, electrical and automation engineers, process engineering and outside contractor to design, install, and commission manufacturing solutions for new processes and products.
- Provide technical support and hands on troubleshooting as required.
- Implement engineering controls to enhance workplace safety.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Machine design using AutoCAD inventor or similar commercially available CAD packages.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and complete projects requiring Mechanical Engineering expertise.
- Must be willing to work with operators and technicians in a hands-on, shop floor environment.
- Must have advanced computer proficiency in MS office programs, data organization and interpretation.
