We are looking more for an entry level assembler with 1-3 years of mechanical assembly experience in the manufacturing field.
We really would like someone that we can train and mold with the team for long-term success.
We just need the assembler to be familiar with hand tools, reading blueprints, etc.Responsibilities:
- Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment setup, etc.
- Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles
- Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical, fluid and electrical measurement equipment assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models, drawings, specifications and written procedures
- Interface with production leads, supervisors, manager and QA inspection to ensure timely customer delivery
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
- Setup and operate precision calibrated tools including but limited to, torque wrenches, gauges, etc.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 6S and Lean initiatives
- Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to achieving organizational success
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 years direct experience in industrial manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field
- Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
- Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
- Basic mathematics skills
- Hand dexterity required to assemble small mechanical or electrical components
- Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas
- Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items up to 44 lbs.
- Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
