- Fiscal Management: Develop and oversee the facility’s budget, monitor expenses, revenue, and occupancy rates, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and revenue growth.
- Community Engagement: Build trusting relationships with residents and their families, foster a sense of belonging, and engage with the local community to promote the facility’s commitment to senior care.
- Staff Recruitment and Development: Hire, train, and lead a dedicated team of caregivers and support staff, ensuring high standards of service and care.
- Operations Coordination: Oversee and coordinate medical, nursing, and administrative activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Facility Management: Manage building improvements and equipment upgrades to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
- Policy Adherence: Adhere, and enforce policies that uphold a high standard of care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Licensure: Current state administrator licensure of certification.
- Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant fields of study often include Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Gerontology, or a related discipline. This degree provides a foundation in healthcare management and leadership.
- Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a strong track record of successfully managing, leading, and developing teams in a senior living management role.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with residents, their families, team members, and the local community.
- Knowledge: A deep understanding of healthcare regulations, medical terminology, and med management protocol, compliance, and standards is crucial to ensure that the facility operates within legal and ethical boundaries.
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and safely transfer residents.
- Vision requirements include being able to see near and far with good depth perception.
