The Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a Contract Management Specialist to support our Legal Team in negotiating and drafting contracts. In this non-attorney role, you'll work closely with attorneys and cross-functional teams to ensure contracts align with business goals while maintaining efficiency and compliance. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel for Operations, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.What You Will Do:
- Negotiate, prepare, and review sales contracts at the direction and under the supervision of Legal Team attorneys.
- Work directly with Sales teams to understand contract needs, goals, and risks involved.
- Assist in the negotiation, preparation, and review of procurement contracts, as needed, as well.
- Develop metrics to demonstrate performance of the Contracts team to ensure efficiency and identify improvement opportunities, providing necessary reports to the company's Deputy CLO & General Counsel.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the company's contracts are finalized in a timely and efficient manner and are drafted in a manner that is consistent with the company's goals.
- 3+ years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts at a corporate law firm or in-house corporate legal department. A broad array of experience in commercial legal matters is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Candidate must be flexible and able to work with multiple attorneys, sales professionals, and procurement professionals in multiple practice areas.
- Self-starter with highly effective organizational skills and ability to handle confidential matters.
- Good independent judgment and ability to make recommendations to solve problems.
- Fluent in oral and written English, and skillful in MS office (Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.)
