The Medicare Product Manager will assist in driving the design and development of Medicare Advantage products to support growth and retention, based on trends, innovations and unique MGBHP advantages and capabilities. The Product Manager will also be responsible for assisting in overseeing the annual CMS bid process and for disseminating product information and business needs to stakeholders across the organization in support of annual go-to-market initiatives. The Medicare Product Manager has oversight for ensuring that the system configuration, marketing collateral, filed materials and product infrastructure match the product design and intent. S/he collaborates with internal departments including Sales, Finance, Actuarial, Compliance, Marketing, Corporate Communications, IT, Configuration, Provider Network Management, EPMO, Customer Service, and externally with Vendors, Accounts, Brokers, Intermediaries and Government Agencies.ScheduleMonday - Friday // Fully RemoteResponsibilities:
  • Deep understanding of Medicare products and CMS rules and regulations governing those products.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams, drive decision- making and ensure end to end operational integrity of product implementations and/or product enhancements
  • Drives secondary research and qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform product design and development
  • Assists with the annual bid cycle, working with Actuary, Pharmacy, Delegated Vendors, other Product teams, and operational stakeholders
  • Identifies critical topics for Medicare product strategy and assists in leading efforts to drive decision-making, bringing clarity to sometimes ambiguous situations.
  • Research and analyze Medicare Advantage market trends and monitor local market competitors and make recommendations for product improvements.
  • Monitoring and reporting on on-going performance of product portfolio, including profitability, membership growth/retention, operational performance and customer feedback.
  • Anticipates and meets, or exceeds, internal and/or external customer expectations and requirements; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

QualificationsQualifications:
  • BA or BS degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 7-10 years of related experience.
  • Experience managing or working with Medicare products
  • Must possess superior interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation and flexibility; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to influence and manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize work and operate under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build consensus across a wide range of constituents.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong national, regional and local healthcare industry knowledge, especially of Medicare products
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Medicare benefits, policies and CMS compliance requirements
