
Regional HSE Director – Commercial Construction

- Develop and ensure safe equipment operating techniques.
- Plan, lead and participate in job site safety meetings.
- Follow up with subcontractor representatives to ensure proper disciplinary procedures.
- Implement, inspect and maintain job site and office MSDS manuals. Train employees in MSDS procedures.
- Review and revise SOP’s and Standards to ensure consistency with HSE MS and compliance with site-specific regulatory requirements
- Assist in the development and/or review of Group Risk Assessments and development of Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSP)
- Provide field presence and project support with coaching
- Conduct periodic safety inspections on all job sites to ensure safety procedures are in place.
- Record and compile data, update logs, monitor equipment and schedule maintenance.
- Update and maintain company disaster plan.
- Perform and oversee investigation of accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to include interfacing with workers’ compensation claims.
- Provide ongoing training to branch office and project sites as required
- 10+ years’ experience in safety & health program management.
- 5 years’ experience in construction safety.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOSH, ANSI, NFPA, EPA and Workers Compensation regulations
- Post secondary education in a related field or equivalent combination of post-secondary education, trade certification or training and work experience
- CRSP/CSP/CSO/NCSO/NEBOSH or equivalent is desired.
- Sound/ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- CPR/First Aid Certified.
